The Upgrade

Nothing beats the classic jeans and a t-shirt look. Like I said, it’s a classic. But I love to choose looks that changes the vibe completely. For me, it’s always about upgrading an outfit and this is my upgraded jeans and a t-shirt look. It involves a band tee and a whole lotta leopard. I’ll be showing you the way to change up the classic look and make it your own with a few tips and tricks!

Switch Up The Tee

One way to upgrade the classic look is by switching up the tee. I love tying a tee in a knot like we did with this outfit. I think it really changes up the whole look of the tee! I usually buy oversized vintage-inspired tees so this also is a great tip to tighten the top so you don’t look lost in an oversized Another way to switch it up is by cuffing the sleeves, this gives it way more of a relaxed feel! You can also do some more permanent switch ups like: distressing the tee, paint splotching the tee, or cropping the tee if you’re not a fan of the oversized look like I am!

Don’t Be Afraid of Accessories

I feel like I’m always over-accessorizing to be honest. But, it’s always when I am en route to my destination or running out the door. I paired these awesome leopard pants with a cool silver faux wallet chain to add a little edge. And I also added my fav dad shoes to complete the look. I feel like the more accessories you do, the more put-together your outfit looks. (Thanks mom for instilling me in that when I was 5 years old!) So, don’t be afraid of adding a cute bag, different shoes, or some statement piece to really dress up your ‘jeans and a tee’ look.

Print the Pants

Instead of just the normal blue jeans, try a printed pant. We all know I love a good animal print, from leopard to snakeskin, I’m in. These leopard print pants are my new favorite statement piece for fall, they’re so easy to throw on and pair with a tee-leather-combo or with just about anything else! Printed pants are a huge trend this year and I’m definitely here for it, they take any outfit to the next level. Having a printed pant involved in a jeans and tee shirt situation definitely upgrades your look, they make your outfit way more fun and dimensional than the original blue jeans.
