Let's Talk Plaid
Let’s Talk Plaid
So, in case you’re wondering why I’m still in shorts…it’s still 70+ degrees in Southern California. Yup, that’s what our winter consists of. I love it because I get to wear whatever I want year round but also hate it because what I wouldn’t give to wear a trench coat and booties everyday! I’ll be faking it out over the next couple posts to show you how I would style my outfits for cooler days, but for now, I’m sticking to what I’m actually wearing everyday. And as of now, it’s this blazer on repeat!
The New Staple : Plaid
I definitely feel like this blazer has now become a staple in most bloggers (and non-bloggers) closets. You can style it so many different ways and can give off such a cool-girl vibe. I love styling it super 90s like above. I paired it with a plain black crop, black bike shorts, and dad shoes to really scream "I WAS BORN IN THE 90s”. I sized up in my blazer to a Large to get that oversized feel and to also be able to throw a belt around it and wear it as a blazer dress. Highly recommend sizing up in this blazer to make it more versatile. You can style this blazer so many different ways which is why I definitely think this blazer will shortly become a staple in every girl’s closet.
The Best Blazer
I have definitely worn the shit out of this blazer. Like I said, so versatile. You can do with a band tee and jeans, a business casual look, or a 90s look and it looks like a different piece every time. The blazer I have on is so flattering and in my opinion the perfect mix of menswear with a feminine print. Unfortunately, the blazer I’m wearing is sold out! So sad! However, I’ve linked my favorite glen plaid blazers from a couple different of my favorite stores for you to shop. I’ve also linked my full look down below. So, how are you styling this staple? With a band tee? With a 90s vibe? Let me know in the comments below!
