Spring Feels : The Camel Coat of the Season
Camel Colored Dream
The camel colored coat : one of my favorite pieces from Winter this year. I feel like I literally saw this coat everywhere on so many different bloggers and all over NYFW. It’s such a staple piece for your closet and so versatile. I feel like I throw mine on almost as much as I throw on my leather jacket. But my leather jacket will always be #1, sorry camel coat. ANYWAYS, this is a piece I highly recommend you invest in. I love mine and know I will be reusing for Winter next year and to transition to Spring this year since it’s been so fucking cold in Southern California this year. I totally get Spring started a couple days ago or whatever but it is still way too cold for us Californians. Or maybe it’s just me. Either way I feel like I still have a couple more weeks of styling this cute piece before I switch to Spring fashion.
How I Styled It : All White
Like I said before, this coat is SO incredibly versatile. But my go to look with it is an all white look and my absolute favorite hat on the planet. I did a white textured sweater, white slit knee denim, white dad shoes (the coolest dupe of the iconic Jeffrey Campbell dad shoe that I found at Target of all places), layers of gold coin necklaces and my Ivory Rancher. I feel like the all white contrasts with the camel coat and ivory of the hat so well. And all white always makes me look incredibly tan. Even though I’m pasty AF because there’s been little sun this year so far, the all white look gives the illusion of a golden tan as you can tell from of my photos. Plus, a little self tanner never hurt anyone. Find my favorite self tanner HERE.
Some alternative ways I like to style the camel coat :
-Leopard look (leopard denim, black mock neck, black beret, + booties)
-Edgy (Vintage band tee, ripped blue denim, platform dr. martens, + camel cabby hat)
-Casual (Black denim, black lace tank, black belt with gold buckle, + red beret)
